🏃‍♂️🍷 Running for Cookies & Courage: My Wine & Dine Half Marathon Charity Journey

If there’s one thing that makes putting in the miles even more rewarding, it’s running for something bigger than myself. This October, I’ll be lacing up for the 2025 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon—not just for the medal or the magic, but for the mission.

Originally, my plan was to run under the Give Kids the World banner, an organization I deeply admire. But by the time I went to register, only Challenge bibs remained—and I wasn’t ready to take on the extra mileage this year. So I looked around, and that’s when something even more personal fell into place…

🎉 I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be running the Half Marathon as a charity participant with Team Girl Scouts!

Why the Girl Scouts?

Our family has had so many amazing experiences through the Girl Scouts—Maria has proudly served as a troop leader, and we’ve built lasting memories around cookie season (IYKYK 😄). From car rides to cookie pantries to the sweet joy of sampling just one more box, the values and adventures of Girl Scouts have been woven into our lives.

This race is my way of giving back to an organization that’s helped shape confidence, community, and curiosity in young girls—including the ones closest to home.

Our Goal: $1,000 by September 1st

We’re setting out to raise $1,000 for the Girl Scouts of America before September 1st. With your help, we can support their mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character.
